The Anti-Freeze function prevents the heat pump from freezing by controlling the water temperature. If the liquid temperature drops below a set level, the heat pump will automatically turn on to heat the water and prevent freezing.
The Anti-Freeze function prevents the heat pump from freezing by controlling the water temperature. If the liquid temperature drops below a set level, the heat pump will automatically turn on to heat the water and prevent freezing.
This function has the highest priority compared to other heat pump functions, except for the performance test function. This ensures the user that the heat pump will be protected from damage caused by freezing even in very harsh winter conditions.
The function operates when the outdoor temperature is below 3 degrees. After the water temperature in the system drops to 5 degrees, the pump will force the circulation pump to run for 135 seconds. When the water temperature rises to over 8 degrees, the pump will return to standby mode. If the temperature does not rise to 8 degrees or a lack of flow is detected, the pump will activate the built-in heaters (IBH) or an additional heat source (AHS) to heat the water to at least 15 degrees. If we do not have active heaters or an additional heat source, then the device will provide protection by starting the compressor.
Additionally, SEVRA ECOs HEAT is equipped with many other functions, such as the automatic operating mode function, which allows the pump to adjust to the user’s current needs, contributing to energy and cost savings.
