ECO-FRIENDLY

R290 refrigerant has an almost zero Global Warming Potential, with a GWP value of 3. Compared to R32 refrigerant, whose GWP is 675, R290 has a relatively low impact on the natural environment — its contribution to global warming is many times lower. It also has no negative impact on the ozone layer, as confirmed by its ODP value of 0.

HIGHLY EFFICIENT

Thanks to its thermodynamic properties, R290 refrigerant is more efficient than R32 refrigerant.

HEAT PUMP

HOW A HEAT PUMP WORKS

The vast majority of air-to-water heat pumps are classified as renewable energy sources and are currently considered one of the most efficient heating technologies. An air-to-water heat pump is a device that uses heat accumulated in the air for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water preparation.

Contrary to what it may seem, the operating principle of a heat pump is not complicated and is based on a well-known mechanism used, for example, in refrigerators. The key components of a heat pump include the compressor, expansion valve, condenser, and evaporator.

The entire process is made possible by the refrigerant. A refrigerant is simply a liquid that circulates within the internal system and boils at low pressure and low temperature, absorbing heat from the surroundings. Then, pressure and temperature increase in the system. Thanks to the compressor, the refrigerant changes into a gaseous form and then flows to the condenser, where it transfers heat to the installation.

After that, the refrigerant in liquid form passes through the expansion valve, where the pressure and temperature drop, and the process starts again. If the heat pump has an integrated cooling function, the process is reversed — the refrigerant absorbs heat from the water and releases it outside.

ARE YOU BUILDING A NEW HOUSE?

When building a new house, one of the key decisions we need to make is choosing the right heating system. This decision depends not only on our preferences, but also on current regulations. One of the most popular modern and most economical heat sources chosen by homeowners, while meeting strict standards, is the air source heat pump. For newly built houses, it is worth remembering that heat pumps combined with a photovoltaic system provide a source of free power. That is why SEVRA R290 heat pumps are a safe investment for years to come.

DO YOU WANT TO MODERNIZE YOUR HOME?

In an era of increasingly strict environmental standards, when considering effective energy-related thermal modernization, investors most often choose air source heat pumps. This choice is driven by a number of factors, the most important of which is achieving lower building heating costs. An additional advantage is the possibility of combining the heat pump with a photovoltaic system, which allows electricity to be generated from free solar energy. The SEVRA R290 heat pump is an economical and ecological alternative.

FUNCTIONS

SURFACE HEATING

Surface heating, also known as underfloor or wall heating, is becoming an increasingly popular form of heating in many homes and commercial buildings. There are many reasons why it can be considered the most cost-effective heating solution, including greater thermal comfort, energy savings, lower heat losses, and a longer service life compared to traditional radiators.

ECO-FRIENDLY R290 REFRIGERANT

SEVRA R290 heat pumps operate using the eco-friendly R290 refrigerant, which is characterized by a very low GWP value, meaning it does not damage the ozone layer. By purchasing these units, we can be sure that we are choosing the safest solutions both for ourselves and for the natural environment.

DOMESTIC HOT WATER UP TO 75°C

The SEVRA MONOBLOC R290 heat pump is capable of preparing domestic hot water at temperatures of up to 75°C, even at low outdoor temperatures.

INVERTER TECHNOLOGY

Inverter technology is an advanced solution used in many types of electrical devices, such as air conditioners, heat pumps, refrigerators, and many others. It enables smooth adjustment of the unit’s operating capacity, which offers many benefits in terms of both energy savings and user comfort.

FAST DHW FUNCTION

The term DHW comes from English and stands for “domestic hot water.” In the case of the SEVRA MONOBLOC R290 heat pump, this function is used to force the system to operate in DHW mode when the user urgently needs hot water.

BACTERIA DISINFECTION

Legionella pneumophila bacteria occur naturally in the human environment, including in water. Under favorable conditions, they multiply very quickly. They are particularly common in water and air-conditioning systems. Intensive growth of Legionella bacteria in drinking water poses a health risk to people. The SEVRA MONOBLOC R290 heat pump features a function designed to combat these bacteria.

WATER TEMPERATURE ADAPTATION

A heat pump is an advanced device that is becoming an increasingly popular choice for heating and cooling buildings. One of its key advantages is the ability to automatically define and maintain the optimal water temperature to ensure the highest level of user comfort.

ECO OPERATING MODE

The ECO mode in SEVRA heat pumps is a setting designed to save energy by optimizing the unit’s operation. In this mode, the heat pump operates more economically, adjusting its heating output to current conditions and heat demand. As a result, users can enjoy thermal comfort with lower electricity consumption, which translates into financial savings and a positive impact on the environment.

HOLIDAY MODE

When the user goes on holiday, the holiday function can be used to protect the unit against damage caused by frost, depending on the climate conditions. When the holiday function is active, the unit operates in heating or DHW mode with a low set temperature during the specified period. Default: 25°C; range: 20–25°C.

QUIET OPERATION

Quiet operation of the outdoor unit below 45 dB ensures uninterrupted performance without disturbing outdoor activities.

SMART GRID

SEVRA ECOs HEAT heat pumps, in accordance with the SG Ready label, can be connected to a smart electricity grid through appropriate control systems.

SAFETY

Heat pumps are a safe source of heating because they do not rely on the combustion of fossil fuels, eliminating the risk of explosions or the emission of toxic gases. In addition, heat pumps operate by converting thermal energy from the surroundings, which means there is no need to store or transport hazardous substances. Moreover, modern heat pumps are equipped with advanced monitoring and protection systems, which increases their reliability and minimizes the risk of failure. Thanks to these features, heat pumps are a safe and eco-friendly solution for heating and cooling buildings.

ZERO EMISSIONS

Heat pumps are zero-emission devices, which means they do not generate emissions of gases harmful to the environment or human health during operation. The zero-emission nature of heat pumps results from the use of thermodynamic principles and heat transfer processes, which do not require the combustion of fossil fuels, such as gas or heating oil, to provide heating or cooling for buildings.

MAINTENANCE-FREE OPERATION

Maintenance-free operation of heat pumps means that they are easy to maintain and do not require frequent repairs or user intervention. This saves time and money by avoiding the need for regular supervision of the unit. SEVRA heat pumps operate efficiently and reliably, ensuring a stable indoor temperature while minimizing the costs and difficulties associated with their use. It is a convenient, economical, and comfortable solution for users.

VERSATILE APPLICATION

SEVRA heat pumps are versatile units that can work efficiently with various types of heat emitters, making them an ideal solution for both residential and commercial applications. In addition, SEVRA heat pumps can be used in bivalent systems, where they operate together with other heat sources, such as a gas boiler or solar installation. In such cases, the heat pump can serve as the main heat source, while other devices provide support during extremely low temperatures or maintenance periods.

LOW OPERATING COSTS

The operating cost of a heat pump is very low. This is mainly due to the high energy efficiency of the unit. Heat pumps are undoubtedly one of the most attractive solutions when it comes to low operating costs.
